FILE-X Document Imaging Services performs paper scanning of permanent pupil records for many Pennsylvania and New Jersey school districts. The scenario is similar across the board - districts need student records in an electronic format so they can be easily searched and retrieved. Student records for many of the districts go back 50 or so years. Some districts also microfilmed their records and needed conversion from film to digital. FILE-X's scanning price and free software for search and retrieval (VFR) work well.
Here's what some of the districts we serve have to say:
"We think it’s great!! Images print clearly, it’s user friendly, it’s convenient, and the information is right at your fingertips. It’s a big improvement compared to microfilm."
Mary Bowser, Chestnut Ridge School District
"From our first meeting with FILE-X, where the document imaging system was explained, to their last pick-up & delivery of the finished CD’s, everything was done exactly as promised. It is rare for a company to produce at this level and we feel fortunate to be working with FILE-X."
Dennis Ashton, Northeastern High School
"FILE-X’s professional team and their willingness to help our staff learn the system was excellent. FILE-X offers a much needed service at an affordable price."
Nancy Valdez, Susquenita High School
